WBJ 40 Under Forty: A new crop of young leaders

For the 15th straight year, the Worcester Business Journal presented its annual celebration of up-and-coming leaders in the Central Massachusetts business scene: our 40 Under Forty honorees.

Like the hundreds who have been previously honored, they have unique stories to tell, some of which extend beyond their work.

This year’s honorees were selected after a months-long call for nominations. WBJ then turned to this year’s panel of judges — Jeannie Hebert of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce; Marc Terry (a 2008 40 Under Forty honoree) of the Worcester law firm of Mirick O’Connell; Lisa Condit, marketing and public relations director at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts in Worcester; and John W.S. Creedon Jr., vice president at catering and equipment rental firm Creedon & Co. of Worcester, as well as owner of the Worcester Bravehearts baseball team (and also a 2008 40 Under Forty honoree) — for their feedback.

Our President and CEO, Rick Porter was selected as one of this year Top 40 Business Leaders Under the age of 40.

Many thanks to the judges, as well as to Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston for hosting the annual leadership breakfast with this year’s 40 Under Forty class in July. Here is Rick’s profile.
